SCHEDULE AND SPEAKERS
The talks will begin on Saturday morning, October 17, at 9 am and will end Sunday, October 18, at around 1 pm. The speakers are:
LOCATION
The CSUSB campus is located some 6 miles north of downtown San Bernardined some 6 miles north of downtown San Bernardino, and 10 miles north of the intersection of the I10 and 215 freeways.
Lectures will take place in 102 Jack Brown Hall. This room is equiped with blackboards and a screen, so the speakers can use either the blackboard or transparencies.
Jack Brown Hall is the last building listed in the first row of the list of buildings (no. 27) in the campus map.
TRANSPORTATION TO SAN BERNARDINO
San Bernardino can be reached by train, plane, bus or car. The closest airport is Ontario, which is served by several airlines. The following numbers are useful:

The parking lots closest to Jack Brown Hall are lots E, F and G. Parking costs $1.50 for all day Saturday, and it is free on Sunday. aturday, and it is free on Sunday.
LODGING
All participants (speakers included) will have to arrange their own lodging. Below there is a list of hotels/motels with addresses and phone numbers, as well as the rates we have arranged for the conference. Unfortunately, there are no hotels/motels within walking distance from campus. The area code for area code for San Bernardino is 909. Hotel tax is 10%.
1) Accomodations around Hospitality Lane:
Hospitality Lane contains several hotel/motels, as well as several restaurants. It is located 10 miles from campus, next to the intersection of the I10 and 215 freeways.
SAN BERNARDINO HILTON: 285 East Hospitality Lane, 889-0133. Ask for the state rate ($79+tax) and identify yourself as participant in the Cal State West Coast conference. Call before 10/2
LA QUINTA INN: 205 East Hospitality Lane. 888-7571. Ask for the Cal State rate ($60+tax for 1-4 people). Call before 10/1.
SUPER 8 LODGE: 294 E. Hospitality Lane. 381-1681. Ask for the Cal State West Coast conference rate ($40-45).
COMFORT INN: 1909 S. Business Center Dr. 889-0090.
E-Z 8 MOTEL: 1750 South Waterman Avenue. 888-4827South Waterman Avenue. 888-4827. Identify yourself as a conference participant and ask for the special rate ($30-$38 + tax).
BUDGET INN MOTEL: 1280 South E Street. 888-0271. Ask for the corporate rate ($30-$35) and identify yourself as a conference participant.
2) Accomodations near downtown area:
This area is located 6 miles south of campus and 3 miles north of hospitality lane. There are few restaurants around and it gets very desolate at night.
RADISSON HOTEL SAN BERNARDINO: 295 North E Street. 381-6181. Ask for the Cal State rate ($70+tax). The rate includes breakfast and shuttle to and from the Ontario airport. There is a convention going on that weekend at the Radisson, so they may not have many rooms available.
ASTRO MOTEL: 111 South E Street. 889-0417.
ECONOMY INN: 685 West 6th Street. 888-5775. Ask for the Cal State rate ($32-$35 + tax).
ECONO INN & SUITES: 777 West 6th Street. 889-3561. Ask for the Cal State rate ($38-$42 + tax).
3) Accomodations on 215 Freeway and University Parkway:
These are the closest to campus (about 2 miles). However, there is not much around. University Parkway is the exit you take on 215 in order to get to campus.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT
The organizers gratefully acknowledge the financ The organizers gratefully acknowledge the financial support for the 7th West Coast Operator Algebras Seminar by the National Science Foundation, and by the School of Natural Sciences at CSU San Bernardino. Limited funds will be available to support some participants. We hope that participants with grants and travel money from their home institution will use these to pay as much of their expenses as possible. Priority in funding will be given to unsupported graduate students and postdocs.
Support from the NSF is subject to the customary rules. Foreign participants must have a B-1 visa for getting any reimbursement for travel related expenses; a B-2 visa or a tourist visa is not good enough. When getting into the U.S., you must insist on getting a B-1 visa! Please let us know if you need a letter of invitation in order to facilitate your obtaining a B-1 visa.
We might be able to reimburse travel expenses such as expenses for carpooling from southern or northern California, approx. $50 per night per shared (double) room, 2 nights total, if you qualify for financial support.
