Start with a square.
Cut a part out of the top of the square, from A to B.
Rotate the piece by 90 around vertex A.
Glue the rotated piece onto side AD.
Repeat with side CD, glue rotated piece onto BC.

Make a copy, rotate 90 around A, glue.
Make another copy, rotate around A, glue.
Make another copy, rotate around A, glue.

Repeat around vertex C.


Continue rotating copies around copies of vertices A and C.
